Bacon And Feta Green Beans Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp minced garlic .
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper .
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, cooked al dente with still some crunch to them .
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder .
  • 2 tbsps water .
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled, & divided .
  • 4 oz feta cheese, crumbled & divided

Directions
  • Step #1 Place the bacon In a large-ish, deep skillet.
  • Step #2 Cook over medium-high heat until evenly browned but only slightly crisp.
  • Step #3 Drain grease, leaving a small amount in the skillet for later use.
  • Step #4 Crumble bacon, reserving 2 tbsps for garnish, then set aside.
  • Step #5 Cook green beans In a large-ish saucepan of salted water 5-6 mins, or until they are just crisp, about 5-6 mins.
  • Step #6 Don't over-cook.
  • Step #7 Drain & set aside.
  • Step #8 Reheat skillet with residual bacon grease over medium-high heat.
  • Step #9 Stir in bacon & garlic, until garlic is lightly golden.
  • Step #10 Add green beans & Feta cheese & season this with onion powder & freshly ground black pepper.
  • Step #11 Cook & stir until most of the Feta cheese has melted, about 2 mins.
  • Step #12 Transfer to a serving dish, & garnish with remaining Feta cheese & crumbled bacon.
