Ingredients
2 1/2 c all-purpose flour
1 tbsp white sugar
48 chocolate covered caramel candies
1 c sliced pecans
1 c butter, softened
2 eggs
2 tsps vanilla extract
1 c packed brown sugar
1 c white chocolate chips
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1 c white sugar
Directions
Step #1 In a large bowl, brown sugar, cream together the white sugar, & butter until light & fluffy.
Step #2 Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the the vanilla.
Step #3 Combine the flour, & baking soda, cocoa, slowly stir in theto the creamed mixture.
Step #4 Fold in the pecans.
Step #5 Cover dough & chill for at least one hr.
Step #6 Meanwhile unwrap the candies.
Step #7 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step #8 With floured hands, wrap about 1 tbsp of dough around each piece of candy, completely covering the candy.
Step #9 Roll each ball in the remaining tbsp of white sugar.
Step #10 Place 2 inches apart on an unprepared cookie sheet.
Step #11 Bake for 7 to 10 mins in the preheated oven.
Step #12 Cookies should be set & slightly cracked.
Step #13 Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave oven, or in a bowl over simmering water.
Step #14 Drizzle over the cookies when they are cool.
Step #15 If the melted chips are too thick, add vegetable oil to achieve the desired consistency.
