Dee's Spanish Rice Recipe

Step #1 Cook rice as usual.
Step #2 Fry bacon till crisp.
Step #3 It should be crisp, not soggy.
Step #4 Crumble bacon.
Step #5 In the bacon fat, fry the onion & green pepper till onion turns translucent.
Step #6 Combine cooked rice, onion, green pepper & crumbled bacon.
Step #7 Add a little salt & pepper & mix well.
Step #8 Add one can of tomato soup, chili powder (more or less, to taste) & sugar (optional).
Step #9 Add water to the consistency you like & cook till hot.
Step #10 Add extra tomato soup & water if needed.
Step #11 Can be a side dish or main meal.
Step #12 Tastes great reheated as well.
