Ingredients
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/8 c white sugar
1/2 c unsalted butter
1 c all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 c toffee baking bits
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c sliced almonds
1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp dark rum
Directions
Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees F).
Step #2 Beat butter & sugar in large bowl until fluffy.
Step #3 Add egg, rum, & vanilla & beat until well mixed.
Step #4 Sift flour, cocoa, baking soda & salt into small bowl.
Step #5 Stir dry ingredients into butter mixture.
Step #6 Mix in toffee & sliced almonds.
Step #7 Drop batter by heaping tbspfuls onto heavy large ungreased baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
Step #8 Bake until cookies puff slightly & crack on top but are still soft to tough, about 11 mins.
Step #9 Let cookies cool on sheet 1 mins.
Step #10 Transfer cookies to rack & cool completely.
Step #11 Repeat shaping & baking with remaining batter.
