Chocolate Toffee Cookiesi Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/8 c white sugar
  • 1/2 c unsalted butter
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 c toffee baking bits
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c sliced almonds
  • 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp dark rum

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees F).
  • Step #2 Beat butter & sugar in large bowl until fluffy.
  • Step #3 Add egg, rum, & vanilla & beat until well mixed.
  • Step #4 Sift flour, cocoa, baking soda & salt into small bowl.
  • Step #5 Stir dry ingredients into butter mixture.
  • Step #6 Mix in toffee & sliced almonds.
  • Step #7 Drop batter by heaping tbspfuls onto heavy large ungreased baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
  • Step #8 Bake until cookies puff slightly & crack on top but are still soft to tough, about 11 mins.
  • Step #9 Let cookies cool on sheet 1 mins.
  • Step #10 Transfer cookies to rack & cool completely.
  • Step #11 Repeat shaping & baking with remaining batter.
