Ingredients
1/2 c water .
4 (4 oz) beef tenderloin steaks, trimmed (about 1 inch thick) .
1/2 tsp black pepper .
1/2 tsp beef bouillon granules .
1 1/2 tsps sugar .
2 tbsps fresh parsley, sliced .
3 tbsps bourbon .
1/4 tsp salt .
1/2 tsp instant coffee granules .
cooking spray
Directions
Step #1 Combine first 5 ingredients in a small bowl; set aside.
Step #2 Sprinkle top pepper & salt over both sides of steaks.
Step #3 Heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
Step #4 Coat pan with cooking spray.
Step #5 Add steaks; cook 2 mins on each side.
Step #6 Reduce heat to medium; cook steaks 2 mins or until desired degree of doneness.
Step #7 Transfer steaks to a platter; cover & keep warm.
Step #8 Add bourbon mixture to pan; cook over medium-high heat until mixture has reduced to 1/4 c (about 3 mins).
Step #9 Serve sauce over beef; sprinkle with parsley.
