Japanese Pork And Peppers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c sake (rice wine) or sherry wine (or alcohol-free sherry) .
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil .
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch .
  • 1 1/2 c cubed green peppers (about 2 medium) .
  • 1/4 c soy sauce .
  • 1 1/2 c cubed yellow peppers (about 2 medium) .
  • 6 green onions, cut into 3 inch pieces .
  • 1 1/2 lbs pork loin, thinly sliced (or pork tenderloin) .
  • 1 1/2 c cubed red peppers (about 2 medium) .
  • 2 tbsps granulated sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat wok or frying pan until hot.
  • Step #2 Add cooking oil.
  • Step #3 Add pork slices.
  • Step #4 Stir fry for about 2 mins until browned.
  • Step #5 Add next 4 ingredients.
  • Step #6 Stir fry for about 6 mins until peppers are tender crisp.
  • Step #7 Stir soy sauce, sake & sugar into cornstarch in small bowl until smooth.
  • Step #8 Stir into pork mixture until boiling & thickened.
  • Step #9 Serves 6.
