Braised Sirloin Tips With Rice Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps soy sauce .
  • 1/3 c beef bouillon .
  • 2 tbsps cornstarch .
  • 10 3/4 oz cream of mushroom soup, undiluted .
  • 1 tbsp olive oil .
  • 1/4 c butter, melted divided .
  • salt .
  • 1 slice bacon, cut into small pieces .
  • 3 lbs sirloin, cut into 1 inch cubes .
  • 1 1/2 lbs fresh mushrooms, sliced .
  • rice .
  • 3/4 c beef bouillon .
  • 1/2 large onion, grated .
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced .
  • 3/4 c red wine

Directions
  • Step #1 Saute` mushrooms & bacon* pieces in butter until lightly browned; spoon into a casserole.
  • Step #2 Add remaining butter & olive oil to skillet; add meat, & brown on all sides.
  • Step #3 Spoon over mushrooms.
  • Step #4 Combine bouillon, wine, soy sauce, garlic & onion; add to skillet, scraping bottom to salvage all particles.
  • Step #5 Blend cornstarch with bouillon; stir in theto wine mixture.
  • Step #6 Cook, stirring constantly, until smooth & thickened.
  • Step #7 Spoon over the meat, stirring carefully to mix.
  • Step #8 Cover up & bake this at 275o F for 1 hr.
  • Step #9 Add mushroom soup, stirring until smooth.
  • Step #10 Add salt to taste.
  • Step #11 Bake 10 to 15 mins more.
  • Step #12 Serve over cooked rice.
  • Step #13 *Original recipe did not contain bacon.
