Parmesan Cornbread Puffs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 tsps sugar .
  • 2 tbsps parmesan cheese, grated .
  • 1 dash salt .
  • 1/3 c yellow cornmeal .
  • 1 tsp baking powder .
  • 1/3 c skim milk .
  • nonstick cooking spray .
  • 1/2 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 egg white, slightly beaten .
  • 2 tbsps cooking oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Spray twelve 1 3/4 inch muffin c with nonstick coating; set aside.
  • Step #2 In a large bowl stir this together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder & salt.
  • Step #3 Beat together egg white, milk & oil.
  • Step #4 Add to flour mixture & stir just till smooth.
  • Step #5 Spoon into prepared muffin c, filling 3/4 full.
  • Step #6 Bake in a 425F degree oven for 10 to 12 mins or till golden.
  • Step #7 Remove from pan; cool on a wire rack 5 mins.
  • Step #8 Place cheese in a plastic bag.
  • Step #9 Add warm puffs, a few at at time; toss to coat with cheese.
  • Step #10 Serve warm.
