Pork Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp ginger, finely sliced .
  • 1 tsp light brown sugar .
  • 450 g Chinese cabbage .
  • 2 tbsps light soy sauce .
  • 1 tbsp spring onions, finely sliced .
  • 2 tsps salt .
  • 450 g pork, mince .
  • 1 tbsp dry sherry .
  • 500 g wonton wrappers

Directions
  • Step #1 Blanch the chinese cabbage leaves until soft.
  • Step #2 Cool then chop finely.
  • Step #3 Mix the cabbage with the pork, ginger, salt, soy sauce, spring onions, sugar, sherry (chinese wine can be used) & sesame oil (if using).
  • Step #4 Plase about 1 tbsp of filling into the centre of a wonton wrapper.
  • Step #5 Moisten edges of wrapper with water, fold into triangle (or half moon if using round wrappers) shape & seal by pinching tightly.
  • Step #6 Poach in boiling water for 2 mins.
  • Step #7 Turn the heat off under the water & allow to sit for 2 mins.
