Eggnog (home Made) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 c milk .
  • 2 1/2 c light rum .
  • 1 1/2 c sugar .
  • 4 c light cream .
  • 5 whole cloves .
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon .
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract .
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract .
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg .
  • 12 egg yolks

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine milk, cloves, 1/2 tsp vanilla & cinnamon in a saucepan.
  • Step #2 Heat over lowest setting for 5 mins.
  • Step #3 Slowly bring to a boil.
  • Step #4 In a large bowl, comine egg yolks & sugar.
  • Step #5 Whisk together until fluffy.
  • Step #6 Wisk hot milk mixture slowly into the eggs.
  • Step #7 Now,pour this mixture into sauce pan again.
  • Step #8 Cook over med-heat/flame, stirring constantly for 3 mins, or until thick.
  • Step #9 do not allow mixture to boil.
  • Step #10 Strain to remove cloves, & let cool for about an hr.
  • Step #11 Stir in rum, cream, 2 tsp vanilla & nutmeg.
  • Step #12 Refrigerate overnight before serving.
