Swiss Chews Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 1 c semisweet chocolate morsels .
  • 1/2 c almonds, finely sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Step #2 Melt the chocolate over hot water.
  • Step #3 Remove from water & cool 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Beat the egg until thick.
  • Step #5 Beat in slowly, till very thick, the sugar.
  • Step #6 Fold in cooled chocolate, vanilla, almonds, & salt.
  • Step #7 Drop by tspfuls on greased cookie sheet & bake this at 325F F for about 10 mins.
