Coconut Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c coconut milk .
  • 3/4 c coconut .
  • 1 c butter (no subtitutes) .
  • 3 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1/2 c Butter Flavor Crisco .
  • 2 1/2 c sugar .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 1 tsp coconut flavoring .
  • 5 eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Cream butter & Crisco well.
  • Step #2 Add sugar 1/2 c at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Step #3 Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Step #4 Sift flour & salt together & add this mixture, alternating with the coconut milk; ending with flour mixuture.
  • Step #5 Add the coconut flavoring & the coconut.
  • Step #6 Pour the batter into a WELL greased & floured 10 inch tube pan & bake this at 300F degrees for one hr.
  • Step #7 (I place a small pan of water in the bottom of my oven when baking lb cakes to keep them from cracking).
