Cream Cheese Browniesi Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 (1 oz) squares German sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 c white sugar
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 3 tbsps butter
  • 1/2 c sliced walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 oz cream cheese

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Grease a 9 inch square baking pan.
  • Step #3 In a double boiler, melt chocolate over low heat/flame with 3 tbsps of butter.
  • Step #4 Set aside to cool.
  • Step #5 In a medium bowl, mix together 2 of the eggs & sugar until thick.
  • Step #6 Stir in baking powder, salt & 1/2 c of flour.
  • Step #7 Blend in cooled chocolate, nuts & vanilla extract.
  • Step #8 Set aside.
  • Step #9 In a separate bowl, cream 2 tbsps of butter with the cream cheese.
  • Step #10 Gradually stir in the 1/4 c of sugar.
  • Step #11 Blend in one egg,1 tbsp of flour, & 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
  • Step #12 Spread half of the chocolate batter in a pan.
  • Step #13 Layer on all of the cream cheese batter.
  • Step #14 Spoon on the remaining chocolate batter in spots.
  • Step #15 Zigzag through batter with a knife to create a marbling effect.
  • Step #16 Bake 35 to 40 mins in the preheated oven.
  • Step #17 Let cool on wire rack before cutting into squares.
