Chocolate Mint Dream Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips .
1/4 tsp peppermint extract .
3/4 c butter, softened (no substitutes) .
Icing .
1/2 tsp shortening .
2 tbsps butter, softened .
1 1/2 c flour .
Drizzle .
1 c confectioners' sugar .
1 tbsp milk .
1/2 c confectioners' sugar .
1 c miniature semisweet chocolate chips .
1-2 drop green food coloring .
1/4 tsp peppermint extract .
2 oz unsweetened chocolate squares, melted & cooled

Directions

Step #1 In a large mixing bowl, cream butter & sugar.
Step #2 Beat in chocolate & mint extract; slowly add flour.
Step #3 Stir in chocolate chips.
Step #4 Dough will be soft.
Step #5 Drop by Tbsp 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Step #6 Bake at 375 for 6-8 mins.
Step #7 Cool 4 mins before moving to racks to cool completely.
Step #8 Combine icing ingredients & spread over cooled cookies; let set.
Step #9 In a microwave, melt drizzle ingredients, stir until smooth.
Step #10 Drizzle over cookies.
