Grand Marnier Souffle Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5 egg yolks, well beaten .
  • 1/3 c Grand Marnier .
  • 8 egg whites .
  • 1 pint milk .
  • 1 2/3 c sugar .
  • 1/2 c butter .
  • 1/4 c cornstarch

Directions
  • Step #1 Melt sugar in milk; boil slowly to obtain a light cream.
  • Step #2 Melt butter & add cornstarch.
  • Step #3 Mix well & add to the milk mixture slowly.
  • Step #4 Cook until evenly thickened.
  • Step #5 Remove from heat & add Grand Marnier & egg yolks slowly.
  • Step #6 Blend well.
  • Step #7 Beat egg whites until stiff, fold into egg yolk mixture.
  • Step #8 Pour into a 6 c greased & sugared souffle dish.
  • Step #9 Sprinkle top with sugar & bake in a 350 degree oven 25-30 mins.
  • Step #10 Keep oven door closed until finished baking.
  • Step #11 Serve as soon as possible.
  • Step #12 Can serve this with a creme sauce if desired.
  • Step #13 Serves 6-8.
  • Step #14 Excellent ending to a special dinner.
