Ham And Tomato Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard .
  • 2 medium plum tomatoes, thinly sliced .
  • 4 green onions, sliced .
  • 8 oz cooked ham, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil, sliced .
  • 1/3 c half-and-half .
  • 1/8 tsp pepper .
  • 1 c mozzarella cheese, shredded .
  • 9 inches unbaked pie shells, frozen .
  • 1 large egg

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 425F degrees.
  • Step #2 Saute the ham & onion over med-heat/flame until the ham is brown & all the liquid evaporates.
  • Step #3 Brush the bottom of the pie shell with mustard.
  • Step #4 Sprinkle top 1/2 c mozzarella over the mustard.
  • Step #5 Put the ham & onions evenly on top of the cheese.
  • Step #6 Place a single layer of tomatoes on top of the ham.
  • Step #7 Combine the egg & half-and-half; beat with a fork until mixed.
  • Step #8 Pour over the tomatoes.
  • Step #9 Evenly sprinkle the basil, pepper & remaining cheese on top.
  • Step #10 Bake for 20-23 mins or until lightly brown & set.
  • Step #11 Cool on a wire rack for 20 mins before cutting into wedges to serve.
  • Step #12 Garnish slices with basil sprigs & sliced tomatoes if desired.
