Ooey-gooey Meatball Submarine Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp grated parmesan cheese .
  • 1 dash dried basil .
  • 1 hoagie roll, toasted lightly & split lengthwise, but not all the way through .
  • 1 dash dried oregano .
  • 1/2 c homemade marinara sauce, heated through (or bottled Italian sauce, but homemade MAKES IT!) .
  • 1/4 c shredded provolone cheese .
  • 5-6 precooked meatballs (heated through) .
  • 1/4 c shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions
  • Step #1 Sprinkle top both cheeses in the bottom of the hoagie roll, holding back about 1 tbspful for the top of the roll.
  • Step #2 Place the meatballs down the centre of the roll & ladle hot marinara sauce on top.
  • Step #3 Sprinkle top tbspful of reserved shredded cheese & the parmesan cheese over top.
  • Step #4 Rub some dried oregano & basil between your fingers & sprinkle it over top.
  • Step #5 Place a large napkin around your neck, take a step back & take a big bite.
