Ingredients
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 2 tb Almond extract
  • 3/4 c Golden raisins
  • 4 tb Amaretto liqueur
  • 2 tb Butter
  • 1 c Powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 c Sugar
  • Amaretto sauce
  • 1 qt Half & half
  • 1 c Unsalted butter
  • 3/4 c Sliced almonds
  • 1 Loaf french bread

Directions
  • Step #1 formatted by Millie Ellis from the Redding Record Searchlight Break up bread & cover with half & half.
  • Step #2 Cover & let this stand 1 hr.
  • Step #3 preheat your trusty oven to 325-degrees.
  • Step #4 Grease 9x13x2-inch dish with the butter.
  • Step #5 Beat eggs, sugar, & almond extract.
  • Step #6 stir in theto bread mixture.
  • Step #7 carefully fold in raisins & almonds.
  • Step #8 Spread evenly in dish, place on middle rack & bake 50 mins.
  • Step #9 Remove & cool.
  • Step #10 Amaretto Sauce Using double boiler, stir together butter & sugar until very hot.
  • Step #11 remove this from heat.
  • Step #12 Whisk the egg well into butter & sugar mixture.
  • Step #13 Add liqueur.
  • Step #14 To serve, cut pudding into 12 to 15 pieces.
  • Step #15 Spoon sauce over & serve as soon as possible.
