1 375 g pack Saxby's Fresh Ready Rolled Puff Pastry
1 142 ml pot Waitrose Thick Double Cream
5 ml Cinnamon;
Directions
Step #1 Roll out the pastry & cut out an 18cm (7") diameter circle.
Step #2 Place a sheet of Teflon Cooking Liner on a baking tray.
Step #3 Prick the pastry lightly with a fork & place it on the Cooking Liner.
Step #4 Roughly chop the pecans & scatter over the pastry.
Step #5 Leaving the skin on, quarter, core & thinly slice the apples.
Step #6 Melt the butter, stir in the the lemon juice & toss the apple slices in the butter.
Step #7 Arrange the apple slices on the pastry in overlapping circles, not quite to the edge.
Step #8 Sprinkle top with sugar & place this in a preheated oven 220?C, 425?F, gas mark 7 for 20-25 mins or until the pastry is crisp & the apples slightly browned at the edges.
Step #9 Meanwhile whip the cream, fold in the maple syrup & cinnamon.
Step #10 put in the fridge until needed.
Step #11 Serve the apple tart warm with the flavoured cream.
