Ingredients
  • 2 tb Cornflour
  • 8 Glaced cherries
  • 8 Scoops vanilla ice cream;
  • 2 Pinches clove-cinnamon powder;
  • 2 Firm apples
  • 1 pk Jelly of desired flav 8 Flutted or champagne glasses
  • 1 1/2 c Water
  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1 dr Yellow colour

Directions
  • Step #1 Set jelly as per instructions on packet.
  • Step #2 Peel & cut apple in quarters.
  • Step #3 Put sugar & apple quarters in a heavy saucepan.
  • Step #4 Heat on high.
  • Step #5 Sprinkle top some water.
  • Step #6 When all sugar has dissolved & the apples are slightly soft, take off gas.
  • Step #7 Remove the apples, drain on a colander.
  • Step #8 To the remaining syrup, add water, cornflour, spices (clove & cinnamon powder) & 1 drop yellow colour.
  • Step #9 Boil, stirring continuously till thick & transparent.
  • Step #10 Cut the jelly into cubes.
  • Step #11 To serve spoon jelly into glasses.
  • Step #12 Put a scoop of icecream on the jelly.
  • Step #13 Place an apple quarter on top & pour some warm sauce.
  • Step #14 Top with a cherry.
  • Step #15 Serve as soon as possible.
