Apple Tarts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 lb Macintosh apples; peeled, cored, & quartered
  • 3 tb Softened butter
  • 2/3 c Sugar
  • 1 Twelve-inch Puff pastry round -;
  • 1/2 c Fresh whipped cream

Directions
  • Step #1 preheat your trusty oven to 425F degrees.
  • Step #2 Coat the bottom of a 10-inch cast iron skillet with 1 tbsp of butter.
  • Step #3 Sprinkle top 1/3 c of the sugar on the buttered surface of the pan.
  • Step #4 Arrange apples in circles to cover the entire surface of the skillet.
  • Step #5 Sprinkle top the remaining sugar on top of the apples & dot with the remaining butter.
  • Step #6 Cover the apples with the puff pastry, tucking it underthe edge of the dish.
  • Step #7 place this in the oven & bake for 30 to 35 mins.
  • Step #8 remove this from oven & let cool slightly.
  • Step #9 Place a serving dish on top of the skillet & turn it upside down & the tart should carefully fall out of the skillet.
  • Step #10 Serve warm with fresh whipped cream.
