Beef And Burgundy Starter Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c sliced onion
  • 1/8 ts Pepper
  • 2 Cloves garlic; crushed
  • 2 1/2 c Water
  • 2 c Frozen broccoli mixture; defrosted
  • 1 lb Beef top round steak; cut 3/4" thick, up to
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1 pk Beef flavor rice and vermicelli mix;
  • 3 tb Butter; divided

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Trim fat from beef steak; cut steak lengthwise in 1/2 & then crosswise into 1/8"thick strips.
  • Step #3 Heat 1 Tbsp butter in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot/ Add beef & garlic (1/2 at a time) & stir-fry 1 to 2 mins or until outside surface of beef is no longer pink.
  • Step #4 (Do not overcook.
  • Step #5 ) remove this from skillet; Spice up with salt & pepper.
  • Step #6 2.
  • Step #7 In same skillet, cook & stir rice mix, onion & remaining 2 Tbsp butter over med-heat/flame until vermicelli is golden brown.
  • Step #8 stir in the water & contents of Spice uping packet; bring to a boil.
  • Step #9 Reduce heat to low; cover tightly & let simmer 15 mins.
  • Step #10 3.
  • Step #11 stir in the vegetables; continue to cook 3 to 5 mins or until rice is tender.
  • Step #12 Return beef; heat through.
