Crunchy Dilled Slaw Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c vegetable oil
  • 1 small head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 c vinegar
  • 1 celery rib, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 2 tsps dill seed
  • 2 medium green bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium sweet red pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large bowl, toss the first six ingredients.
  • Step #2 In a small saucepan, mix vinegar, dill seed, mustard & salt; bring to a boil.
  • Step #3 Remove from the heat; add oil.
  • Step #4 Pour over cabbage mixture; toss to coat.
  • Step #5 Cover & put in the fridge for at least 1 hr.
