Bistro Mussels With Vietnamese Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lb Ground beef
  • 4 Tomato slices;
  • 4 Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 4 Sweet onion slices;
  • 4 Crusty rolls; split, toasted
  • Vegetable oil

Directions
  • Step #1 ---SAUCE------ 1/4 c Mayonnaise 1 tb Dijon-style mustard 1.
  • Step #2 In small bowl, mix sauce ingredients; set aside.
  • Step #3 2.
  • Step #4 Shape ground beef into four 3/4" thick patties.
  • Step #5 Lightly brush oil onto cut sides of onion.
  • Step #6 Place patties & onions on grid over medium, ash covered coals.
  • Step #7 Grill, uncovered, 13 to 15 mins or until centers are no longer pink & onions are tender, turning once.
  • Step #8 Spice up burgers with salt & pepper, if desired, after turning.
  • Step #9 Approximately 1 min before burgers are done, top each burger with 2 slices cheese.
  • Step #10 3.
  • Step #11 Meanwhile, spread equal parts of sauce mixture on top half of each roll.
  • Step #12 Line bottom half of each roll with lettuce & tomato; top this with cheeseburger & onion.
  • Step #13 Close sandwiches.
