Crispy Butterscotch Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 1/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c crisp rice cereal
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 c butterscotch chips
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In large bowl, cream butter or margarine & sugar until light & fluffy.
  • Step #2 Add egg & vanilla; beat until well mixed.
  • Step #3 Add flour, salt, & baking soda, mixing well.
  • Step #4 Stir in cereal & butterscotch chips.
  • Step #5 Drop by heaping tbsp onto greased cookie sheet.
  • Step #6 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 12-15 mins, until lightly browned.
  • Step #7 Remove cookies to cool on racks.
