Bourbon-raisin Ice Milk Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 To; up to
  • 1 c Dark corn syrup
  • 5 tb Cold water
  • 1/2 c Firm margarine
  • PASTRY
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 3 Egg whites
  • 1/4 c Margarine; melted
  • 1 Whole egg plus
  • 1 c Regular oats
  • 2 tb Bourbon
  • Pastry
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 1 1/3 c All-purpose flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 Prepare Pastry.
  • Step #3 Beat remaining ingredients except oats.
  • Step #4 stir in the oats.
  • Step #5 Pour oatmeal mixture into pastry-lined pie plate.
  • Step #6 Bake 45 to 50 mins or until center is set.
  • Step #7 8 SERVINGS.
  • Step #8 PASTRY: Mix flour & salt.
  • Step #9 Cut margarine with pastry mixer until particles are size of small peas.
  • Step #10 Sprinkle top in water, 1 tbsp at a time, tossing with fork until all flour is moistened & pastry almost cleans side of bowl.
  • Step #11 Gather pastry into a ball.
  • Step #12 Shape into flattened round on lightly floured cloth-covered surface.
  • Step #13 Roll pastry 2 inches larger than inverted pie plate, 9 X 1-1/4 inches, with floured cloth-covered rolling pin.
  • Step #14 Fold pastry into fourths; place this in plate with point in center.
  • Step #15 Unfold & ease into plate.
  • Step #16 Trim overhanging edge of pastry 1 inch from edge of plate.
  • Step #17 Fold & roll pastry under, even with plate; flute.
