Ingredients
  • 3 lg Cloves Garlic; Minced
  • 1/3 c Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese; Preferably Imported
  • 1 1/4 c Canned Or Homemade Vegetable Broth;
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1/2 lb Bow Tie Pasta; cooked
  • Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tb Olive Oil
  • 2 lg Stalks Broccoli; florets separated from stems, stems, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 1 lg Sweet Red Peppers; sliced
  • Red Pepper Flakes

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oil in 12-inch non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #2 Add garlic, broccoli stems & salt.
  • Step #3 Cook, about 2 mins, uncovered, until very hot, stirring often.
  • Step #4 Add broccoli florets, sweet red pepper & 1 1/4 c vegetable broth.
  • Step #5 Bring to boil.
  • Step #6 Simmer 1 min.
  • Step #7 Add pasta.
  • Step #8 Simmer, until pasta is hot & broccoli is just beginning to be tender, uncovered, about 3 mins, adding more broth as needed.
  • Step #9 Add cheese & red pepper flakes.
  • Step #10 Toss well.
  • Step #11 Heat through, about 1 min.
  • Step #12 Adjust Spice upings to taste.
  • Step #13 Serve hot.
  • Step #14 Pass extra cheese separately.
  • Step #15 Makes 2 to 3 servings.
