Step #1 Heat the butter in a skillet just wide enough to hold the fish.
Step #2 When hot add the vegetables & saute for a min or so just to get them sizzling.
Step #3 Add the wine, cover & cook over very low heat until wilted, about 10 mins.
Step #4 Set halibut over the vegetables, Spice up this with salt & pepper & add stock or broth just to cover.
Step #5 Simmer, until fish is just done, over low heat/flame, covered, about 10 mins.
Step #6 With a slotted spatula, remove haibut from the liquid & divide into two portions.
Step #7 Set each portion in the bottom of a deep soup plate and garnish with carrot threads or snow peas; Spice up the broth & spoon it over the top; garnish with black sesame seeds if you wish.
