Ingredients
  • 2 lg Head broccoli
  • Coarse salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 10 c Water

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Trim the tough leaves off the stems.
  • Step #3 Cut the florets into 1-inch pieces.
  • Step #4 Trim the stems & cut the stalks into 1-inch pieces.
  • Step #5 2.
  • Step #6 In a large pot over high heat bring the water & a tbsp of salt to a rolling boil.
  • Step #7 Add the stem pieces to the pot & let cook for 3 to 4 mins.
  • Step #8 Add the florets & continue cooking, uncovered, until tender, another 3 to 4 mins.

  • Step #10 Drain & Spice up well with salt & pepper.
  • Step #11 Notes: Broccoli is the food of the gods as far as I'm concerned.
  • Step #12 It tastes good & it's good for you! Important: Don't cover broccoli as it cooks.
  • Step #13 Cooking uncovered helps it to retain its bright green color.
