Step #1 To a small saucepan of boiling water add the wild rice, remove the pan from the heat, & let the rice soak for 30 mins.
Step #2 In a small bowl mix the, porcini & the hot water & let the mushrooms soak for 30 mins.
Step #3 Strain the mixture through a rinsed & squeezed paper towel set over a measuring c, wash the porcini under cold water to remove any grit, reserving 3/4 c of the soaking liquid, & chop them.
Step #4 In a large saucepan bring the cold water & the porcini soaking liquid to a boil, & the salt, drained well, the brown rice, stir in the the wild rice,and let simmer the mixture, covered for about 40 mins, or until the liquid is absorbed & the rice is tender.
Step #5 While the rice is cooking, stirring every once in awhile, in a large skillet cook the onion in the butter over moderately low heat, until it is softened & stir in the the porcini.
Step #6 Add the rice to the skillet with the parsley & salt & pepper to taste & mix the mixture well.
