Buttermilk Cornbread Dressing Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tb Sugar
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 1/2 c Fat-free buttermilk
  • 1 c Yellow cornmeal
  • 2 ts Baking powder
  • 3 tb Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1 c All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 ts Baking soda
  • 2 lg Egg whites; lightly beaten

Directions
  • Step #1 preheat your trusty oven to 425?F.
  • Step #2 mix first 6 ingredients in a bowl; make a well in center of mixture.
  • Step #3 mix buttermilk, oil, & egg whites in a bowl; stir well.
  • Step #4 Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moist.
  • Step #5 Divide batter evenly among 15 muffin c coated with cooking spray.
  • Step #6 bake this at 425?F.
  • Step #7 for 12 mins or until golden.
  • Step #8 Remove muffins from pans as soon as possible.
  • Step #9 Yield: 15 Muffins (serving size: 1 muffin) POINTS: 2.
  • Step #10 Exchanges 1 Starch, 1/2 Fat.
  • Step #11 Per serving: Calories 105, Protein 3g, Fat 3.
