Carrot Jicama Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 400F g Sugar;
  • Elaichi powder;
  • 1 1/2 l Milk
  • 1 kg Juicy orange carrots
  • Saffron few flakes
  • 1 tb Ghee
  • Few drops orange colour;

Directions
  • Step #1 Peel & grate carrots Put milk & carrots in a heavy saucepan.
  • Step #2 Boil till thick, stirring occassionally.
  • Step #3 Once it starts thickening, stir continuously.
  • Step #4 Add sugar & cook further till thickens.
  • Step #5 Add ghee, elaichi, saffron and colour.
  • Step #6 Stir on low heat till the mixture collects in a soft ball or the ghee oozes out.
  • Step #7 Serve hot, decorated with a sliced almond or pista.
