Chicken Malai Kabob Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tb Cornstarch
  • 2 tb Soy sauce
  • 16 oz Crushed pineapple in juice; drained
  • 1/4 c sliced celery
  • 4 Boned & skinned chicken breast halves; uncooked
  • 1 c Water
  • 2 tb Butter
  • 1 c Pineapple juice; drained from fruit
  • 1/4 c sliced onion
  • 1/4 c Brown sugar; firmly packed
  • 1/4 ts Worcestershire sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Drain pineapple, save juice & add water to make 2 c.
  • Step #2 In saucepan melt butter & add celery, onion, & saute 2-3 mins.
  • Step #3 stir in the brown sugar & corn starch.
  • Step #4 remove this from heat & stir in the soy sauce, worcestershire sauce & 2 c liquid.
  • Step #5 Add pineapple & cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick.
  • Step #6 Pour over chicken and bake 1 hr 15 mins (uncovered) in 375 degree oven.
  • Step #7 Per serving: 312 Calories; 7g Fat (21% calories from fat); 22g Protein; 41g Carbohydrate; 66mg Cholesterol; 550mg Sodium.
