Ingredients
1 Garlic clove; crushed
1 pk MAGGI Spicy Italian Tomato Sauce Mix
500 g Boneless chicken; cut into thin strips
Toppings: grated cheese; sliced tomato, avocado wedges, sour cream
1 tb Oil
1 Red pepper; cut into chunks
1/4 ts Cayenne pepper
4 lg Pita bread; cut in half and warmed
1 Red onion; cut into thin wedges
1 c Water
1 ts Ground cumin
Directions
Step #1 Heat the oil in a large frying pan.
Step #2 Add the chicken & brown over a moderately high heat.
Step #3 Add the garlic, cayenne pepper, cumin, red pepper & onion to the pan & cook for 2-3 mins.
Step #4 mix the sauce mix & water.
Step #5 Add to the pan.
Step #6 Bring to the boil, stirring, then simmer for 4-6 mins or until the chicken is cooked.
Step #7 Stir every once in awhile.
Step #8 Place the chicken mixture in the warmed pita bread halves & serve with a selection of toppings.
