Chicken Tikka Masala Recipe

Ingredients
  • 12 Bamboo skewers; soaked in water 30 mins
  • 1/4 c Plain yogurt
  • 1 pn Dried crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 4 Garlic cloves; minced
  • 2 tb Butter; melted
  • 1/8 ts Ground ginger
  • 2 lb Skinless boneless chicken breast halves; cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 c Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 ts Ground turmeric
  • 1 1/2 tb Ground coriander
  • 2 ts Ground cumin

Directions
  • Step #1 mix chicken, 1/4 c lemon juice & 1/2 tsp salt in medium bowl; let this stand 30 mins.
  • Step #2 Mix 1/4 c plain yogurt, 1 1/2 tbsps coriander, 1 tsp turmeric, 2 tsps cumin, minced garlic, 1/8 tsp ginger and crushed red pepper in small bowl.
  • Step #3 Add to chicken & stir until chicken is well coated with spice mixture.
  • Step #4 put in the fridge chicken at least 3 hrs or overnight.
  • Step #5 Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat).
  • Step #6 Thread chicken on skewers, dividing equally.
  • Step #7 Brush chicken with melted butter.
  • Step #8 Spice up this with salt.
  • Step #9 Grill kebabs until just cooked through, turning frequently, about 7 mins.
