Chicken With Balsamic Vinegar Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 Bacon slices, sliced
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 2 lg Chicken breasts, halved
  • 1/4 ts Thyme
  • 1/4 ts Pepper
  • 1/3 c All-purpose flour

Directions
  • Step #1 ---GRAVY------ 2 tb Reserved flour mixture 2 1/5 oz.
  • Step #2 chicken bouillon -cubes 1 1/2 c Boiling water Mix flour, salt, pepper & thyme together in paper or plastic bag.
  • Step #3 Add two chicken pieces at a time.
  • Step #4 Shake to coat.
  • Step #5 Save flour that is left.
  • Step #6 Put bacon into frying pan with floured chicken.
  • Step #7 Cook on low heat for 30 mins more until tender.
  • Step #8 Put cover askew on pan, not on tightly, while cooking.
  • Step #9 Transfer chicken to platter.
  • Step #10 Keep warm while making gravy.
  • Step #11 Serves 4.
  • Step #12 (GRAVY): Add reserved flour mixture to very crisp bacon in frying pan.
  • Step #13 Stir until white color disappears.
  • Step #14 Add a bit of butter or margarine if necessary.
  • Step #15 Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water.
  • Step #16 stir in theto bacon-flour mixture until it boils & thickens.
  • Step #17 Loosen any bits on bottom of pan.
  • Step #18 Makes 3 c crunchy gravy.
