Chicken With Sage And Bacon Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c Dry white wine
  • 3 tb Olive oil
  • 3/4 c Crumbled Roquefort cheese
  • 1 c Whipping cream
  • 1 Chicken; cut into 8 pieces
  • sliced fresh chives
  • 5 Garlic cloves; minced
  • 1 ts Herbes de Provence or dried thyme; crumbled

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #2 Spice up chicken with pepper.
  • Step #3 Add chicken to skillet & cook this until golden brown on all sides, about 8 mins.
  • Step #4 Add cream, wine, garlic & herbes de Provence.
  • Step #5 Cover & let simmer until chicken is tender & cooked through, turning once, about 20 mins.
  • Step #6 Transfer chicken to platter.
  • Step #7 Boil cooking liquid in skillet until reduced to sauce consistency, about 5 mins.
  • Step #8 Add cheese & whisk until cheese is melted & sauce is smooth.
  • Step #9 Spice up generously with pepper.
  • Step #10 pour the sauce over chicken.
  • Step #11 Garnish with chives & serve.
