Step #1 Heat olive oil in a very large soup kettle.
Step #2 Add onions & cook over low heat, covered, until tender & translucent, about 10 mins.
Step #3 Crumble the sausage meat & mince into the kettle & cook over medium high heat, stirring often, until meats are well browned.
Step #4 Spoon out as much excess fat as possible.
Step #5 over low heat/flame stir in the black pepper, cumin, tomato paste, salt, chili powder, mustard, garlic, basil & oregano.
Step #6 Add drained tomatoes, wine, dill, lemon juice, parsley & kidney beans.
Step #7 Stir well & let simmer, uncovered, for another 15 mins.
Step #8 Taste & correct Spice uping.
Step #9 Serve hot with bowls of sour cream, sliced onion & grated cheddar cheese.
Step #10 You can also put out slices of french bread or corn muffins.
