Chocolate Buttermilk Layer Cake With Chocolate Pudding Fr Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 2/3 c Flour
  • 1 c Buttermilk
  • 1/2 c Salt
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 1/2 c Vegetable oil
  • 1 ts Baking soda
  • 2 ts Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c Cocoa

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step #2 Butter an lightly flour two 8" round cake pans or one 9"X13" pan.
  • Step #3 Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda & salt in a bowl.
  • Step #4 Add the buttermilk, vegetable oil and vanilla, beating until smooth.
  • Step #5 Spread in the pans or pan, about 20-25 mins for the small pans, & bake, 35-45 mins for the large one.
  • Step #6 Test to see if a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step #7 Cool for 5 mins in the pan before turning out onto a rack.
  • Step #8 Frost with a light chocolate frosting.
