Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c Packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 c Semisweet chocolate pieces
  • 3 c Fat free milk
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 12 Vanilla caramels
  • Ice cream or whipped cream;
  • 1/3 c sliced pecans
  • 2 ts Vanilla
  • 1 tb Butter
  • 3 Slightly beaten eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut bread into cubes (about 7 c).
  • Step #2 Peel & chop apple.
  • Step #3 Spread bread cubes in a lightly greased 2 quart rectangular baking dish.
  • Step #4 Sprinkle top with apple, pecans, & chocolate pieces.
  • Step #5 In a medium saucepan mix caramels, 1 c of milk, & butter.
  • Step #6 Cook & stir over med-low heat until caramels are melted.
  • Step #7 add in the remaining milk; heat until mixture just begins to bubble around edge of pan.
  • Step #8 remove this from heat.
  • Step #9 Slowly stir mixture into beaten eggs.
  • Step #10 stir in the brown sugar, vanilla, & salt.
  • Step #11 Pour over bread; press lightly with spoon to moisten bread cubes.
  • Step #12 bake this at 350 F for 35-40 mins or until inserted knife comes out clean.
  • Step #13 If desired serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
  • Step #14 Makes 8 servings.
  • Step #15 Per serving: 329 cal, 11g fat, 1 g fiber.
