Chocolate Chip Tea Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 1/4 c White sugar
  • 1 c Chocolate chips
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Baking soda
  • 1/2 c Butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c sliced walnuts;
  • 1 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 c Brown sugar; packed

Directions
  • Step #1 In a medium sized bowl, cream butter with brown sugar.
  • Step #2 Add white sugar & cream again.
  • Step #3 Add egg & vanilla & beat well.
  • Step #4 Measure in flour, soda & salt.
  • Step #5 Stir until well mixed.
  • Step #6 Add chips & walnuts, stirring to mix.
  • Step #7 Scrape into a 9 x 9 inch pan.
  • Step #8 Bake in 350 degrees F oven for 25 to 30 mins until set & a nice brown colour.
  • Step #9 When cool cut into 36 squares.
