Chocolate Dipped Strawberries Recipe

Ingredients
  • 300F g Dark couverture chocolate
  • 100 g Unsalted butter
  • 60 ml Brandy
  • 24 lg Prunes; stoned
  • 1/2 Bottle good red wine

Directions
  • Step #1 Soak the prunes in wine & brandy for at least 8 hrs, or up to a month, put in the fridged in an air-tight glass container.
  • Step #2 Drain prunes well on a wire rack resting over a tray.
  • Step #3 Line another tray with baking paper.
  • Step #4 Melt chocolate & butter in a basin resting over a saucepan of hot water, then remove this from the heat.
  • Step #5 Using a skewer, impale a prune then dip it into the chocolate and allow any excess to drip off.
  • Step #6 Slip each dipped prune on to the paper-lined tray.
  • Step #7 Allow to set in a cool place.
