Chocolate Espresso Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c Dry cocoa
  • 3 c Flour
  • 2 Sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 pn Salt
  • 2 ts Baking soda
  • 3/4 ts Almond extract
  • 1/2 ts Baking powder
  • 2 1/4 c Sugar
  • 2 c Espresso coffee
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 ts Vanilla

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Mix cocoa & coffee until smooth.
  • Step #3 2.
  • Step #4 In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients.
  • Step #5 3.
  • Step #6 Beat together eggs, butter, sugar & extracts.
  • Step #7 4.
  • Step #8 Add flour & coffee mixtures to the butter mixture alternately, beginning & ending with dry ingredients.
  • Step #9 5.
  • Step #10 Grease & flour the bottom of a 9" by 13" cake pan.
  • Step #11 bake this at 325F degrees for 45 mins to one hr, until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean.
