Step #1 preheat your trusty oven to 350 degrees & butter & flour a large baking sheet.
Step #2 In a bowl whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step #3 In another bowl with an electric mixer beat together butter and granulated sugar until light & fluffy.
Step #4 Add eggs & beat until mixd well.
Step #5 stir in the flour mixture to form a stiff dough.
Step #6 stir in the hazelnuts & chocolate chips.
Step #7 On prepared baking sheet with floured hands form dough into two slightly flattened logs, each 12 inches long & 2 inches wide, & Sprinkle top with confectioners' sugar.
Step #8 Bake logs 35 mins, or until slightly firm to the touch.
Step #9 Cool biscotti on baking sheet 5 mins.
Step #10 On a cutting board cut biscotti diagonally into 3/4-inch slices.
Step #11 Arrange biscotti, cut-sides down, on baking sheet & bake this until crisp, about 10 mins.
