Chocolate Muesli Pancakes With Spiced Syrup Pears Recipe

Ingredients
  • 400F g Chocolate Sponge
  • Strawberries
  • 4 Cutter/moulds cut from clean plastic;
  • 20 g Icing sugar
  • 1 pk Greggs Chocolate Mousse mix
  • 5 Pears peeled; cut into quarters & deseeded
  • 50 g Butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Place the pears on an oven rack, brush with butter & Sprinkle top with icing sugar.
  • Step #2 Roast in the oven at 180 C for about 30 mins.
  • Step #3 Make up the chocolate mousse accordingly to the instructions on the packet.
  • Step #4 Using your made cutter, cut a round from the sponge then slice into 3 layers, approximately 1 cm thick.
  • Step #5 Lightly oil the inside of the cutter & stand on a plate.
  • Step #6 Place once circle of cake in the bottom of the cutter.
  • Step #7 Spoon approximately 2 tbspsful of the mousse into the cylinder.
  • Step #8 Lay another piece of sponge on the mousse.
  • Step #9 Place more mousse in the cylinder & top of with the third piece of sponge.
  • Step #10 Make three more.
  • Step #11 place this in fridge for about 30 mins to set.
  • Step #12 To serve carefully push the sponge & mousse from the cylinder and arrange with a salad of roast pears & strawberries.
  • Step #13 Sprinkle top with icing sugar & garnish with whipped cream.
