Chocolate Pecan Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • Powdered sugar; in a shaker
  • 1/4 c Steen's 100 percent Pure Cane Syrup
  • 1/4 c Corn syrup
  • 1/2 ts Vanilla
  • 1 pn Salt
  • 1/2 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Fresh mint sprigs
  • 4 Eggs; beaten
  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1/2 c Light-brown sugar
  • 1 Unbaked pie shell
  • 1 1/2 c Pecans
  • 1 c Chocolate sauce; in squeeze bottle
  • 2 Scoops Vanilla bean ice cream
  • 2 oz Semi-sweet chocolate; melted

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step #2 Spread the pecan pieces & the chocolate chips evenly on the bottom of the pie shell.
  • Step #3 In a mixing bowl, whisk the remaining ingredients together.
  • Step #4 Pour the filling over the pecans.
  • Step #5 Bake for about 1 hr or until the filling sets.
  • Step #6 Cool for 10 mins before slicing.
  • Step #7 Lay one piece of the pie in the center of the plate.
  • Step #8 Garnish the pie with ice cream, chocolate sauce, mint and powdered sugar.
