Chocolate Phyllo Purses Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 oz Unsweetened chocolate; melted
  • 8 oz Cream cheese; softened
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 4 c Sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 ds Salt
  • 1/2 c sliced nuts

Directions
  • Step #1 slowly add sugar to cream cheese, mixing well after each addition.
  • Step #2 add in the remaining ingredients; mix well.
  • Step #3 Spread into greased 8-inch square pan.
  • Step #4 Chill serveral hrs; cut into squares.
  • Step #5 Granish with extra nuts, if desired.
  • Step #6 1 3/4 lbs.
  • Step #7 Variations: Omit nuts & vanilla; add few drops of peppermint extract & 1/4 c crushed peppermint candy.
  • Step #8 Omit nuts & add 1 c shredded coconut.
  • Step #9 Omit nuts & add 1/2 c sliced maraschino cherries.
