Chocolate Tiramisu Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 ts Grand Marnier
  • 1/4 c Nonfat liquid egg substitute
  • 1 ts Light corn syrup
  • 2/3 c Mascarpone; nonfat, see Recipe
  • 1 ts Marsala wine
  • 6 Italian ladyfingers; crisp
  • 1 tb Unsweetened cocoa powder; Dutch processed
  • 1/4 c Strong brewed coffee
  • 2 tb Confectioner's sugar
  • 2 ts Hot water

Directions
  • Step #1 In a small bowl, whisk the cocoa powder, corn syrup & hot water together until smooth.
  • Step #2 Mix in the Marsala & 2 tsp of the Grand Marnier.
  • Step #3 Break the ladyfingers in half & place them on a plate.
  • Step #4 Drizzle them with the coffee & the remaining 2 tsp Grand Marnier.
  • Step #5 In a mixing bowl, mix the egg mixture & confectioners' sugar.
  • Step #6 Whisk until light & foamy.
  • Step #7 Whisk in the cocoa mixture, then fold in the mascarpone.
  • Step #8 (You should have about 1 c of filling.
  • Step #9 ) Place half a ladyfinger on the bottom of each of four wide-mouthed Champagne glasses.
  • Step #10 Layer about 8 tsps of the filling over the ladyfinger half, then 2 more ladyfinger halves, & finally about 8 more tsps of filling.
  • Step #11 Cover the boats with plastic wrap and chill for 2-3 hrs before serving.
