Chocolate-cashew Toffee Recipe

Ingredients
  • Pecan halves
  • 1 5 oz Can evaporated milk
  • 3/4 c Semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 14 oz Pa caramels
  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1 c sliced pecans; toasted
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 c Butter or margarine; melted
  • 16 oz Cream cheese
  • 1 ts Vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 c Graham cracker crumbs

Directions
  • Step #1 mix graham cracker crumbs & butter, stirring well.
  • Step #2 Press mixture evenly onto bottom & 1 inch up sides of a 9-inch springform pan.
  • Step #3 Unwrap caramels; mix with milk & heat over low heat/flame until caramels are melted, stirring often.
  • Step #4 Pour over graham cracker crust; Sprinkle top sliced pecans evenly over caramel layer & set aside.
  • Step #5 Beat cream cheese at high speed until light & fluffy; slowly add sugar, mixing well.
  • Step #6 Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one.
  • Step #7 stir in the vanilla & chocolate; beat until mixed.
  • Step #8 Spoon over pecan layer.
  • Step #9 bake this at 350 degrees for 30 mins.
  • Step #10 remove this from oven, & run knife around edge of pan to release sides.
  • Step #11 Let cool to room temperature on a wire rack; cover & chill at least 8 hrs before serving.
  • Step #12 top this with pecan halves & serve.
