Ingredients
Pecan halves
1 5 oz Can evaporated milk
3/4 c Semisweet chocolate morsels
1 14 oz Pa caramels
1/2 c Sugar
1 c sliced pecans; toasted
2 Eggs
1/4 c Butter or margarine; melted
16 oz Cream cheese
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 1/4 c Graham cracker crumbs
Directions
Step #1 mix graham cracker crumbs & butter, stirring well.
Step #2 Press mixture evenly onto bottom & 1 inch up sides of a 9-inch springform pan.
Step #3 Unwrap caramels; mix with milk & heat over low heat/flame until caramels are melted, stirring often.
Step #4 Pour over graham cracker crust; Sprinkle top sliced pecans evenly over caramel layer & set aside.
Step #5 Beat cream cheese at high speed until light & fluffy; slowly add sugar, mixing well.
Step #6 Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one.
Step #7 stir in the vanilla & chocolate; beat until mixed.
Step #8 Spoon over pecan layer.
Step #9 bake this at 350 degrees for 30 mins.
Step #10 remove this from oven, & run knife around edge of pan to release sides.
Step #11 Let cool to room temperature on a wire rack; cover & chill at least 8 hrs before serving.
Step #12 top this with pecan halves & serve.
