Ingredients
15 g Butter; melted
1 tb Icing sugar
1 411 gram jar mincemeat;
1 pk Filo pastry; defrosted
Grated rind of 1 orange
Directions
Step #1 1.
Step #2 Preheat the oven to 190 C, 375 F, Gas Mark 5.
Step #3 2.
Step #4 Trim the pastry sheets & cut into approximately 24 x 15cm (6 inch) squares.
Step #5 3.
Step #6 Place 3 filo pastry squares on top of each other at a slight angle to form a 12 pointed "star".
Step #7 4.
Step #8 Place a heaped tbsp of the mincemeat mixture in the centre & add a little grated orange rind.
Step #9 Carefully pick up the pastry corners to enclose the filling & press together to form a "parcel".
Step #10 5.
Step #11 Repeat with the remaining pastry & mincemeat to make 8 parcels.
Step #12 Arrange on a baking tray & lightly brush the parcels with melted butter.
Step #13 6.
Step #14 place this in the preheated oven on the middle oven shelf for 10-15 mins until crisp & golden.
Step #15 7.
Step #16 Serve hot or cold.
Step #17 Dust with icing sugar before serving.
